Chronoswiss has launched the all-new Strike Two series, which shifts its regulator display from vertical to horizontal. This is a limited edition series featuring two dial-side bridges and a stunning handcrafted twisted cord seconds dial.
The new Strike Two series complements Chronoswiss’s existing regulator dial watches with vertical layouts, such as its Open Gear series, offering the familiar modern Chronoswiss aesthetic but with a slimmer, smaller case, placing the hour sub-dial at 3 o’clock on the top of the dial.
Similarly, Chronoswiss has rotated the sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position. Like most regulator dial watches, the main hand indicating minutes remains centrally positioned.
The Strike Two has a diameter of 40 millimeters, smaller than most 42-millimeter open-gear models, with a thickness of 12.7 millimeters. This horizontal layout is not new for the independent Lucerne-based company; it introduced this design in its Tora series in the 1990s.
While the Tora series primarily featured dual-time indicators and a 24-hour sub-dial, the new Strike Two series is undoubtedly a representation of local time.
