Labrum London has collaborated with Adidas to create the Arsenal FC away kit for the 24/25 season. This design celebrates the deep connection between the football club and the African diaspora in London and beyond. The kit features a distinctive black and white zig-zag pattern, symbolizing the movement and flow of people, inspired by African artifacts and designs. The motif, hand-drawn by Labrum’s design team, extends from under the arm, down the sides, and onto the shorts. The jersey is constructed with Heat.Rdy technology, engineered to maximize airflow and keep players cool, and features a reworked Labrum London logo.
In addition to the team kit, a five-piece capsule collection for fans of both the men’s and women’s Premier League teams is being released. This collection includes two jackets, a tee, a jumper, and track pants, all featuring the same bold patterns and vibrant colors. These items are made with Aeroready technology, which uses sweat-wicking and absorbent materials to keep the body dry. The jumper and T-shirt display Labrum’s ‘Nomoli’ icon—a symbol of protection and prosperity rooted in the Mende and Kissi tribes of Sierra Leone—while the jersey, jackets, and track pants incorporate a deconstructed version of the icon.
Labrum’s founder and creative director emphasizes the importance of this collaboration in telling the untold stories of Africa. Reflecting on his experience as a second-generation immigrant in London, he recalls the impact of watching Arsenal players of African heritage who served as role models for him and the wider community. He expresses pride in collaborating on this design, which celebrates Arsenal’s strong connection to this community.
The campaign, featuring players Gabriel dos Santos Magalhaes, Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, Alessia Russo, and Beth Mead, alongside Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu, brings the evocative sportswear to life. Kanu expresses pride in representing both his club and heritage through the Labrum London design, highlighting how the patterns and colors symbolize the connection to players of African descent and supporters worldwide. He looks forward to seeing the teams wear this stylish design on the road next season.
The on-field and fan versions of the new Arsenal away kit by Labrum and Adidas are available for purchase from Arsenal FC stores, selected Adidas retail stores, Adidas online, Labrum’s website, and the Labrum London Store.
